KEENE (CBSDFW.COM) - Another earthquake rattled Johnson County at around 7:30 p.m. Monday night. The U.S. Geological Survey released information about the 2.4-magnitude quake. The epicenter was located between Cleburne and Alvarado, near the town of Keene, and residents from Cleburne to Joshua may have felt the ground rumbling.
The earthquake shook homes and rattled buildings, but there have been no reports of injuries associated with the latest seismic activity. Neither the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office nor the Keene Police Department received emergency calls about the quake from nearby residents.
This is the second minor earthquake in Johnson County in less than a week. A similar 2.7-magnitude earthquake hit the exact same area on Friday. And before that, another five earthquakes were felt in Johnson County over the course of three days. While the shaking seems to be fairly frequent, the quakes are so small that most residents do not seem too concerned.
